Product Description

EtherCom’s EC880 series is the solution to your Fiber connectivity requirements. With eight dedicated ST Fiber ports (or SMA is available upon special request) and two optional ports with pairs or combinations of BNC or AUI this is a fully functional Ethernet repeater that you can tailor to your network requirements. The EC880 series, designed to CSMA/CD IEEE 802.3 FOIRL and 10BaseFL specifications re-times data packets, regenerates preamble and automatically partitions problem segments. In addition, there is a manual disable switch on each port which gives an even higher degree of control over the network. There are no less than five diagnostic LED’s per Fiber port which gives at a glance status for Link, Receive, Partition, Collision and Manual Partition in each segment, while the hub LED’s give status for Power, Jam and Activity.

The EC880 model has eight Fiber ports and in addition 2 AUI ports.

The EC881 model has eight Fiber ports and in addition one AUI and one BNC (10Base2) port. Both models are manufactured with an internal universal power supply.
